The clue is only really in half the title here. Social Media, absolutely. Manager, so much more than that.
We’re working on a fantastic opportunity that we’re genuinely really excited about. What kind of firm do you think about when someone talks about their social media strategy; their commitment to digital comms, to being progressive and using social media strategies with regards to reputation & issues management. As well as launching a podcast and being keen to stay on top of progressive technologies?
A global law firm may not have been your first thought – but perhaps it should be. Our client is one of the leading law firms with offices across Asia, the US, Europe and the Middle East. They have created a fantastic new role sitting in the Brand & Communications team in its London office for a Social Media guru who is able to act as a strategic advisor to both lawyers and wider staff on best practices around content creation and distribution across various channels. With it being a newly created position, we need someone who is happy to help develop the firm’s social media strategy at the same time as getting stuck in and implementing it. There is a lot to do but the business is progressive and embraces social media as a way to both enhance the reputation of the firm but also elevate individuals to use the various platforms to enhance their professional development.
There is a lot of autonomy in this role so we need someone who is happy to challenge. You must have confidence in your decisions, feel happy that you are offering the best approach and commit to creating content that can realistically be used. You need to be ‘on brand’ and recognise what it globally right for the businesses to be putting out there because while they are not a highly regulated industry, there are of course times when discretion is key.
We need someone who likes a challenge. Someone who always thinks ‘what do we want to convey’.
We need someone who has no limiting assumptions about a law firm & what that may look and feel like.
We need someone entrepreneurial and driven.
We need someone who can present and be confident, but that can read their audience. That has energy and a passion for what they’re doing.
The role sits in the Brand & Comms team in London, but with the firm being global, you report in to Boston and work closely with a Social Media lead in New York. Consistent brand presence and tone of voice is therefore pretty critical.
If you love what you do, but want a challenge and a change from the stereotypical businesses that you may often find yourself being approached by, then get in touch.
