This reliable travel companion has grown from being a small business to one who now has a strong European presence thanks to significant growth in the 2000s. Owned by both management and private equity the business is reliant on their unique tech platform and as such it’s well known for its pace and innovative spirit. The growth continues and as such they are looking for a consumer/corporate senior press officer to be based in their London office.
Their communications function takes responsibility for protecting their corporate and tech identity as well as their consumer brand.
Working across both stands you will be involved in evolving the corporate narrative and coordinating central announcements and campaigns, whilst working closely with brand and social teams to ensure campaigns are as integrated and high impact as possible. You’ll also help work-up consumer campaigns for the UK and will quickly become the face of the press office and will speak confidently on travel, consumer affairs and personal finance matters.
With an appreciation of either consumer or corporate or both you’ll love working with the media and will be well-known for your attention to detail and will be happy to run reports one minute and handle a European coordination project the next. You will have a genuine interest in innovation and how tech helps consumer brands propel in today’s culture and you will also have a good sense of what makes an interesting news hook. Experience of working with or for a tech or travel company and international / global campaign experience would be amazing but by no means crucial.
