One of the UKs largest supermarket chains is looking for a senior director to transform their social media and influencer capability, building a team that is best in class. We need an expert in this field and someone who has experience of leading teams in large organisations. Reporting into the Head of Creativity, this person will be required to carry out an initial audit of the existing capability and make recommendations ahead of implementation. A key requirement will be to build out a team who can focus on growing the online community as well as increasing engagement with existing audiences.

You will have a remit to agree ways of working with other functions in the business and to ensure that tone of voice, messaging and brand guidelines are consistent throughout. Identifying and working with influencers who are authentic to the brand is also an integral part of this role, so a need to understand the corporate strategy and marketing priorities is vital for this to be successful.

 

Agreeing a strategy, framework and targets are important, as well as managing the budgets and team that support this.

 

There is a lot to do in this role in order to ‘set things up’ so we think a contract maybe the best solution. It would be for a minimum of 12 months and based in London, but with paid travel to Yorkshire a couple of times a week.

 

It’s a senior position so we need people who have a track record in building organic social, community and influencer management. A background in retail isn’t essential but we’d love people who have worked across a portfolio of brands. You need to be a strategic thinker and enjoy establishing process as well as getting amongst the weeds.
