Building a more sustainable future, managing our energy and our waste, are topics that we talk and read about every day, so you can imagine how excited we are to be working with one of the UK’s leading lights in this area. Playing a big role in the sustainability and recycling agenda, this organisation is looking for a Senior Press Officer for a maternity contract.
An important role and one which requires you to be front and centre of national press enquires, championing positive coverage and helping to build the brand and it’s reputation, you will be a relationship builder; someone who loves to network and be collaborative. With excellent media relations skills, you will be hungry for securing coverage to promote the innovative and pro-active approach the business takes to managing it’s waste and sustainability programmes. With the environment such a huge topic; politically, socially and economically we need someone who loves storytelling, who is excited to travel the country showing journalists about projects that are underway and is of course a keen writer.
Day to day responsibilities will include managing national broadcast opportunities, drafting statements, press releases, briefing notes and managing approvals of copy. You will have a demonstrable record of working with national print and broadcast press, a good understanding of what makes a story ‘newsworthy’ and be able to cope in a busy environment.
This role is being offered as a 12 month fixed term contract.
