A leading global investment management firm is seeking a Marketing Director to drive institutional marketing efforts across the Asia-Pacific region. This is a high-impact role, for a strategic marketer with institutional investment experience who excels at turning complex investment ideas into compelling, multichannel content and campaigns.

Our client is a global investment powerhouse with over $1 trillion in assets under management. They offer deep expertise across public and private markets and serve institutional investors worldwide with a multi-affiliate structure and long-term, research-led approach.

The individual will be critical to the continued growth of marketing and will support APAC multi-channel marketing efforts in many key functions, including content creation and distribution, brand advertising, and sponsorship and events activities in partnership with the firm’s key stakeholders.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading cross-business teams and crafting marketing programs that help differentiate from competitors, while highlighting the global footprint and deep asset class expertise across public and private markets.

What You’ll Do:

Develop a meaningful understanding of business strategy, affiliate model, and investment approach to craft and lead content-led marketing programs globally across marketing channels such as web, email, social, proprietary-client events, and industry sponsorships.

Lead integrated marketing campaigns, brand programs, and industry sponsorships across APAC

Partner with subject matter experts, portfolio managers and distribution teams to generate compelling, sophisticated, and differentiated educational content for institutional audiences

Collaborate with channel marketers to develop the necessary content to promote the firms capabilities to the APAC institutional investor audience.

Work closely with digital and design partners to present content in dynamic and compelling ways to improve engagement and consumption by target audiences through multiple delivery channels including web and social.

Create content, including white papers, website copy and other digital channels such as social media and advertising.

Manage sponsorships with leading industry organizations and oversee participation in high-quality, local industry events promoting greater brand visibility, amplifying the firm cross-asset class expertise, and driving prospecting opportunities for sales teams

Requirements:

  • Min 7–10 years’ experience and knowledge in institutional marketing and asset management
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English
  • Excellent understanding of investment concepts across asset classes (equities, fixed income, quant, real estate, credit, ESG, etc.) and strong ability to make them interesting and accessible for an institutional audience
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, particularly around complex investment concepts
  • Strong grasp of capital markets, multi-asset investing, and institutional client needs
  • Demonstrated success leading multi-channel campaigns and managing cross-functional teams
  • Deep understanding of the APAC institutional landscape, regulations and compliance issues
  • Agile and can navigate complex systems

This is a stand-alone role so the ability to be strategic and hands-on is essential.
