A new role has been created at one of the professional services providers in Hong Kong for a media relations expert. As a key member of the global media/PR function, you will lead all media engagement with the Hong Kong media as well as play a significant role with global media.
Reporting into the Public Relations Partner and Management Board, you will utilise your exceptional writing ability, creating compelling content for key stakeholders and building on your extensive relationships with the local and global media.
Key responsibilities:
- Liaising with local and global media
- Understanding what’s newsworthy and presenting stories to create media interest
- Devise content and media strategy for the firm
- Managing critical issues and crisis with the media, always protecting the reputation of the firm
- Media training partners and briefing on media interviews
- Working with the communications team to develop exceptional content for a variety of channels
- Build deep relationships with the management board and additional key stakeholders inside the firm
Requirements:
- Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin and English
- Ability to liaise with key stakeholders and teams globally
- Ex journalist, PR agency and in-house communications experience
- Extensive crisis management experience
- Proven track record in developing and delivering proactive communication strategies that enhance the reputation of a firm
- Professional services or financial services industry experience
- Outstanding relationships with the local and global media
