Headquartered in London, this creative communication agency has won many awards for their marketing activation work with household brands. As the agency’s operations in Asia is growing rapidly, they are now looking for an experienced finance manager to join the team in Singapore.

As part of managing the financial health of the agency, the Finance Manager is responsible for all financial management and reporting activities and budget planning. They will also support the executive team in providing insights, analysis and strategies to support the long-term financial goals of the agency.

The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess commercial and business acumen relevant to the consulting industry.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management Accounting

  • Maintain accounting records, filing systems and computer files
  • Prepare and reconcile balance sheets
  • Track and reconcile bank statements
  • Create cost analysis reports
  • Maintain billing schedules
  • Prepare and post all client and partner fee and recharge invoices
  • Process invoices and follow up with clients, suppliers and partners as needed
  • Support monthly payroll and keep organised records
  • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents and/or accountants as necessary

Financial Reporting and Analysis

  • Produce accurate financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc
  • Advising and developing strategic and long-term business plans based on these reports
  • Budget preparation, including staffing and revenue plans and forecasting for the business
  • Strengthen current internal control and improve processes
  • Communicate and work effectively with General Manager and Divisional Directors on fee forecasting, revenue analysis and project audits

Other Duties

  • Prepare and maintain client contracts, including reviewing and negotiating Terms & Conditions
  • Review and approve client scopes of work
  • Set up new clients and job codes
  • Lead finance training for staff – client and supplier procedures, job estimates, scope of work, internal systems

Skills / Experience

  • Experience in a Finance and Accounting role, as well as have a Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • A keen eye for detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
  • An analytical mind and desire to probe further into data
  • Superb organisational and time management skills
  • A self-starter with a can do attitude
  • Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Familiarity with accounting software
  • Advanced Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, to liaise effectively and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Previous experience that will be a plus: (i) working in a client services, PR or creative/marketing agency; (ii) using Paprika and Sage
