We’re in the business of building and growing careers for PR and communications professionals in Asia and the UK. And we do this through recruitment, coaching and mentoring.
Prospect was founded by Colette Brown and Emma Dale.
In 2002 after several years in PR recruitment, Colette partnered with Emma to start Prospect. Drawing on her experience as a managing director for another firm, she was able to identify the unique value proposition of Prospect as an ethical, honest and relationship-based recruitment firm.
Since this time, Colette has steered the UK business through challenging geopolitical and economic environments, an evolving industry catering to the changing media landscape, and a global pandemic. Throughout, Prospect has gone from strength to strength and is regarded as one of the UK’s premiere, award-winning recruitment partners, supporting some of the best brands and PR agencies.
In working with candidates and clients, Colette combines in-depth industry knowledge with genuine curiosity and an infectious love of people. Whether it’s a graduate looking to make their debut or a CEO working out their next move, Colette is a true friend and advocate.
Colette is happy being considered a northerner, despite originally hailing from the midlands. She thrives on travelling, meeting new people, and sharing a bottle of wine with family and friends.
Emma is an accomplished PR and Corporate Communications recruiter having clocked up more years in the business that she cares to think about. Two decades ago, she and Colette saw an opportunity to bring a more personal and ethical approach to recruitment for the industry. And so, Prospect was created.
In 2010, Emma took Prospect international by launching the Asia business. She now oversees an impressive team of consultants in Hong Kong and Singapore who support hundreds of clients and candidates throughout Greater China and Southeast Asia.
She is recognised as the ‘go-to’ person for PR and Communications recruitment and career development in Asia. She regularly appears in trade publications, participates in podcasts and moderates industry panel discussions both in-person and virtually. For the past 12 years, Prospect Asia has produced the annual The State of the Industry Review providing market intelligence, and salary benchmarks across the APAC communications industry.
Emma is a passionate rower, loves exploring the great outdoors and recharges by spending time with old and new friends over a drink (champagne optional, but preferred!).
