A fascinating opportunity has arisen with a leading international law firm, based here in London. Operating across six continents, their people are at the heart of the business and a chance to support the firm from a PR & Communications perspective is really exciting. The team is well-established and manage the firm’s relationship with the media as well as the broader reputational work. This role is responsible for the corporate and finance practice groups, one of the firms largest and will require you to invest and grow relationships with senior management and partners to help advise and guide them with their comms; setting strategy and assisting with managing the PR agency. It’s an opportunity for this person to really grow and develop, with a lot of responsibility assigned. Although most of the work is UK based, there is a requirement for you to work with senior partners and colleagues across all offices, educating on best practice and acting as an ambassador of the firm. The role is externally focused and will require you to co-ordinate corporate transactions, so any experience of this would be a real benefit, as would that of a partnership environment.

Cultural fit is important. If your perception of law firms is stuffy – think again. The team especially is full of personality and really need someone who is a team player. You need to be able to take instruction when necessary but also gently push back when needed. A knowledge of business issues is essential and planning and delivering PR campaigns.
