Headland is a communications consultancy specialising in financial and corporate communications, public affairs and campaigning.

We are the UK’s fastest-growing comms agency, working with some of the world’s biggest companies, exciting start-ups, charities and well-known brands. Our business is growing and developing fast, thanks to the broad mix of people that work here.

In 2018 we are again inviting graduates to come and join us, especially those who are willing to challenge convention.

Too often agencies are cobbled together from ill-fitting parts. We were built from scratch to challenge that convention by bringing together the right mix of skills and experience in one team. We want graduates who are open-minded and looking to learn from the full spectrum of communications.

  • An enquiring mind and readiness to learn
  • Confidence to use your initiative
  • An aptitude for challenging the status quo

How it works:

By 31st January: in 400 words, tell us what you could offer Headland and our clients and send it with your CV to graduates@headlandconsultancy.com. Please use the subject line ‘Headland Grad Programme’.

Late January: Successful candidates will be contacted to arrange a short discussion via telephone about their capabilities and understanding of communications. If you haven’t heard from us by 27th January, your application has been unsuccessful.

5th to 12th February: Candidates invited for a short face-to-face interview.

Tuesday 6th March: A final group of candidates will attend an assessment day at Headland, in London, during which time you will participate in an interview, a roundtable discussion, complete a short writing exercise and give a presentation on a topic which we will provide to you a week in advance. Final round candidates will be notified by early March if they have been successful.

September: successful candidates will start their career at Headland!

We run an intensive six-month training programme where you will learn how to become a rounded communications consultant. The 40+ module programme includes training on financial and corporate communications, campaigning, public affairs, working with and using different media, new business pitching and issues management.
