In 2002 after several years in PR recruitment, some spent as MD for another firm, Colette hooked up with Emma to start Prospect. Colette now runs the UK business and along with her brilliant team, works with some of the best brands and agencies in PR.
The delights of smart phones mean that even when she is with the kids, or sneaking in a cappucino, work is always in her back pocket. Colette is constantly on hand to roll up her sleeves to take a brief, advise a candidate or plot the next Prospect adventure. She is very happy being considered a ‘northerner’ despite being from the Midlands. But since when did the small issue of geography matter?
The London team have been with us for quite some time, which means they have an in-depth knowledge of the industry and can give valuable counsel. Whether it’s a graduate looking to make their debut or a CEO working out their next move, we love sharing our expertise and guidance. And of course, we mustn’t forget the clients. Due to the stability of the London team and because they know their stuff, we are pleased to be working alongside some of the most interesting agencies and fascinating organisations out there, some for quite a long time. They know that we understand their business and of course what they do, day in, day out. And some of those graduates we talked about? Many of them are now the CEOS we mentioned. So it literally goes full circle meaning we like to think we help keep the wheels of the industry quite literally, turning.
Emma is also a veteran PR and Corporate Communications recruiter having clocked up more years in the business that she cares to think about. In 2010 Emma took Prospect international and launched our Asia business. She now runs our offices in Hong Kong and Singapore and has developed a great reputation in Asia for placing talent in global PR agencies and MNC’s. She has a good network across the region and is an active member of The Women’s Foundation in Hong Kong where she been a mentor for the last 2 years on their high-profile mentoring programme. Not satisfied with just running a business, she has recently qualified as an executive coach and is coaching people on their careers and leadership development.
When not flitting across Asia spreading the Prospect gospel she can be found with her family on Big Wave Bay beach or hiking the Hong Kong hills. Failing that, she will be baking, taking a yoga class or hitting the dance floor.
Emma’s Asia team are dedicated and passionate about helping clients source the best talent and help further people’s PR & Communications careers. Working across an impressive client list of MNC’s and global agencies across all sectors, the Asia team place talent within Hong Kong, Singapore, China and SE Asia. They are always busy networking at events, speaking on panel discussions and holding roundtable breakfast events to discuss current issues and trends in the APAC communications industry. Every year, Prospect Asia produces The State of the Industry Report in conjunction with Public Affairs Asia providing market intelligence and insights across the APAC communications industry.
