One of the leading PR and communications consultancies in the UK is looking for its next Senior Account Directive / Associate Director Public Affairs. With a strong background in public affairs from the professional or financial services, the successful candidate will join large team reporting to the Managing Director. There is an opportunity to work across several high-profile clients, helping to navigate clients through the post-election period.
This exciting and challenging role is ideal for a candidate highly knowledgeable of the political and regulatory environment. My client will consider applications from those who have public affairs experience either in-house or agency, although financial or professional services experience is essential. The role requires providing intelligent strategic counsel to clients both pro-actively and re-actively, and servicing client accounts outside the PFS sector as and when needed. A strong background in stakeholder engagement is essential as is the ability to keep clients informed on policy developments.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong commercial acumen and a willingness to understand all client procurement processes, financial systems, budgetary constraints and clients’ financial objectives. Adept at identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, the candidate will lead pitch teams and drive forward written proposals.
