London / Media Relations Manager / £35,000 - £40,000 / Personal Finance / 68620L
This bank is currently recruiting for personal finance PR specialist for the busy press office. This role will involve acting as key spokesperson for personal finance issues across key media which will be: will be pf, city, trade and consumer.
Duties include:
- ensure all media enquiries are deal with in such a way as to positively enhance the reputation of the bank
- Monitoring of media to identify opportunities and threats
- Campaign strategy and implementation
- Writing campaigns documents, including press releases and articles and commissioning research to support campaigns
- Advise senior members of the organisation on media issues
- Event planning and management i.e. press conferences, corporate events
- Project work as required
This role requires someone from agency or in-house with a track record in personal finance PR. You will be used to working at a fast pace and will be well connected with financial media with a track record in positive coverage. You will be articulate and confident, and will be happy acting as spokesperson and liaising with senior people. Candidates without financial PR experience will not be considered for this brief.
