Head of Social Media (Account Director / Senior Account Director) /Digital Consumer / Social Media /£40 – 55k
This hugely sought-after consumer agency is seeking to grow its digital team due to new business. Working as part of a small team you will work across all the agency’s consumer clients covering entertainment, music, FMCG, food, drink, consumer healthcare, gaming, beauty, fashion and lifestyle. This is an agency that really looks after and invests in its staff and the training and development opportunities are second to none!
This is a really important new hire for the agency – the digital team is going from strength to strength, so as well as being a digital specialist you really need to have the gravitas to hold your own in traditional PR.
About you as a person:
• A really strong communicator at all levels with excellent interpersonal skills
• Around five years’ experience in PR / digital agency
• Fantastic writing skills with an emphasis on proposals and pitch documents
• A natural and confident presenter
• The ability to integrate yourself into a small team: to lead effectively, to develop and nurture, to roll your sleeves up and to delegate
• A self-starting and motivated individual with passion and ambitious – able to drive accounts and digital strategy and really get results with both new and existing clients
• Someone who can be both creative and analytical and who demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound
• Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Someone who has fun at work and encourages their team to do the same
About what is expected in terms of experience and of you in the role:
• Able to lead integrated web builds and web 2.0 platforms and show direct experience and work using these platforms.
• Experience of developing, implementing and managing short and long term digital communications campaigns
• Experience of working on integrated communications campaigns PR/Digital PR/broader marketing
• Content creation, seeding strategies and implementation experience
• Knowledge of web / social media influence mapping and monitoring
• Experience of evaluating social media and digital campaigns within a broader comms framework
• Knowledge of search engine optimization-think including basic keyword research
• Proven new business record and abilities
• Experience in leading a team and developing people
An added bonus would be if you have experience and technical understanding of API, web build technologies (HTML, AJAX, XML) and experience of using web analytics software (Google Analytics, Omniture)
